2 Day Reset Cleanse

Have your energy levels hit a low? 

In winter we naturally eat more, the cold makes us gravitate to more heavier meals which are warming and nourishing, but as a result, it can leave us at times feeling heavier than usual. 

Whenever I feel this way I love to do a 2 day cleanse to reset my body, fire up my energy levels again,  regain my cognitive function and production levels. 

My overruling principles for my cleanse is to keep it super simple.

The three main rules that I stick may include: 

  • Removing gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol and caffeine from my diet.
  • Exercise twice: a day mixing in a high-intensity workout and a low-intensity workout - such as a walk in the morning before breakfast at 6.30am for 20mins and a HIT workout after work, at 6 pm. 
  • Drink 2.5 - 3 litres of water every day without fail. 

A typical day would look like ...

6.20am - Wake Up - Glass of Water w/ Lemon, Ginger & 1TSP Apple Cider Vinegar 

6.30am - Low Intensity Workout - Yoga / Walk / Pilates

7.15pm - Immunity Boosting Tonic

8.00am - Breakfast - Green Radiance Smoothie 

10.00am - Snack -  Herbal Tea 

1.00pm - Lunch - Super Greens Salad - Spinach, Broccoli, Cucumber, Avocado w/ Poached Chicken

4.00pm - Snack - Energy Protein Ball 

6.00pm - High Intensity Workout - HIT Training / Spin / Run

7.00pm - Dinner - Steamed Fish w/ Sautéed Greens 

8.00pm - Handfull of Blueberries & Herbal Tea 

 

Think - Clean, Simple & Easy! Don't over complicate it! It is really important though to be eating a nutrient rich diet with lots of vegetables and fruits whilst also consuming a range of protein to ensure that you are left feeling satisfied and full.
